i'm the tentative and hesitant webmaster of this site--i say tentative and hesitant because, well, i'm new to this, and learning on the go. I don't consider myself a "master" quite yet. maybe it's better to call myself a webapprentice!
for the last ten years, i've carved a small career for myself as an author, editor, and educator, but i'm beginning to get away from all that now. it's not that i don't enjoy it, but i've never been able to afford to eat regularly, and it's starting to impact my general health. i want to build a life for myself and my partner; so, i'm reconfiguring my career dreams just a bit. i still write, and you'll regularly see my writing here. i love to make art: primarily comics and collages. i read a ton and in no specific genre, though that's been dropping off, too. i'm down from 100+ books in 2023, to a little under 30 in 2024. i'm a huge fan of CJ Cherryh, Jeanette Winterson, Richard Siken, and David Wajnarowicz. i'm currently reading Bataille's Eroticism: Death and Sensuality. i'm fairly verbose when it comes to non-verbal communication (anything in the written word), as you can tell, and some folks are kinda bothered by this. IDK. It's just part of who i am.
it's probably important to know that i'm nearly 30 now, and the content of this site is authored by an adult, with a primarily adult audience in mind. that being said, i don't plan on uploading anything pornographic or upsetting, and if i do, i will provide plenty of warnings so that any underaged audiences can clear out on a page-by-page basis. if there are no trigger warnings or age restrictions clearly listed, assume it's ok to browse, no matter your age. But use your own discretion.
i plan on using this site mostly as a catch-all for my creativity and daily fascinations. there are tabs and topics currently, but my life and identity are fluid things, so maybe in the future, those topics will change.
